This is long, but I had many, many questions on my Pardesi Youtube channel and on Twitter. In the video description, there is an index so you can skip ahead to questions that interest you. I expand on my introduction video, and tell more about the story of how I fell in love with Indian cinema. I discuss my favorite directors in the Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil cinema industries.
Did you know that if one searches for you they have to scroll forever in here to get to you?!
Ok I know I got too lazy to hop on over to your channel. I had a question actually. So you review both trailers and then films too. Do you think the trailers recently and the promotion overall, give away too much of the plot? Like what percentage of the average film you feel like was something you just couldn’t have guessed from the trailer?

Do you mean if you search for Pardesi?
For Malayalam trailers not at all. It’s hard to tell much about plot from them.
Hindi? Well the stories have not really been out of the box in any way have they? For instance Hichki. That would have been a predictable film even if it was Hollywood. But I still enjoyed seeing it play out. Or Secret Superstar told a lot in the trailer but still I cried watching it fully tell the story.
Telugu cinema has been surprising me in a few films. Awe was just crazy! The trailer told you it was crazy but I could not have guessed the plot from it at all. Arjun Reddy had many surprises in telling a love story that was both familiar and revelatory.
